IMO Results will be announced soon by the conducting body SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation). The 11th IMO exam will be held on the scheduled dates i.e. 5th and 14th December 2017. And the IMO results will be declared after the exam is done. SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation) is a Non- Profit foundation which has organized IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad). IMO is conducted for all the candidates to know and check their ability in mathematics. So, that by appearing in IMO exam they can know and improve their weak points to become better in Mathematics. This article will help all the interested and eligible candidates to know about the IMO results.

Some important dates related to the results are:

·  IMO exam – 5th and 14th November, 2017

The resultswill be formed of the total score scored by the candidates.

IMO section wise priority is divided into 4 sections first is the Achiever’s section then it is Everyday Mathematics, third section is Mathematical reasoning and the fourth section is Logical Reasoning.

To Download IMO results the candidates have to enter their roll number which was allotted to them when they were registering themselves for the exam in the format presented in the example. For eg.- AN0001-04-001, where in place of AN0001 will be the school code of the candidates, in place of 04 will be their class number and in place of 001 will be their roll number. The candidates are requested to take a copy of the downloaded result for further future communications. To avoid the chance of misplacement of the copy of downloaded result the candidates can take 2-3 copies of their downloaded result.

After, the exam the candidates those who will appear in the SOF (Science Olympiad foundation) will be provided with a Student Performance Report (SPR). It is a detailed analysis of how the candidates have attempted their 1st level Olympiad exam. This is done to enable the candidates to know and understand his/her strengths and also know their weak areas which need improvement in absolute terms. The qualifying criteria for level 2 is that top 5% of the total candidates who have appeared for the exams will be selected class-wise. And also top 10 rankers will be selected on the basis of State and Class wise performance. If there are more than 10 candidates participating from a class and scored 50% or more marks than class topper will be selected further. If more than one student scored the same marks then ranks will be justified on the basis of their marks scored in their particular sections. Or, if there is a tie between two or more candidates in the same section than the marks scored by the candidate in the previous class will be considered to justify their rank. And, if in case more than one candidate scores same marks under both the criteria stated above than the same rank will be awarded to both the scoring candidates.
